TOURS

There are many junior golf tours in Arizona.   Tours are simply a group of tournaments that are played over a set period of time.   Typically, points are awarded for each tournament and awards are given to the top three finishers.   In most cases, cumulative points are calculated and a Tour Champion is crowned after the last event.

INSTRUCTION

The best junior instructors in Arizona can charge $250 – $300/hour.   If your child is new to golf, it wouldn’t make sense to start here.   There are plenty of phenomenal junior instructors that charge a fraction of that for individual lessons, end even less for group lessons, weekly clinics, and seasonal junior golf camps.

PROGRAMS

Junior golf programs are designed to introduce kids to the culture of golf, which extends well beyond hitting a ball.   Integrity, honesty, dedication, self-esteem, and responsibility are just some of the many life lessons that are taught by both national and regional programs.

MEMBERSHIPS

There are several organizations that are able to provide substantial savings on tee times across the state for junior golfers.   For a reasonable annual fee, juniors can save up to 90% on rounds of golf during select times of the week, particularly during off-peak hours.

EVENTS

In addition to regular tournaments, there are many one-time junior golf events across the state.   These can provide an early indication of how your child compares to other golfers in their age group or experience level, and whether or not they may be ready to compete regularly on a tour.
